Jake Meador for Just Football:
It’s harsh on Dortmund to say so, but one couldn’t help feeling that Klopp’s men never had much of a shot in this match, despite Bayern being without so many key players. It’s not that Munich dominated their long-time rivals so much as that they were never really threatened by them.
Reus aside, no one in this Dortmund side looked like threatening the Munich goal. Dortmund, more than any other second-tier elite team in Europe has finally fallen prey to the bigger sides that have picked off their best players year after year. Their latest signings, Kampl excluded, have been disappointments and the rest of the Bundesliga has finally begun to catch up.
