Danny Pugsley for Metro:
It shouldn’t all be doom and gloom of course. Chelsea’s victory against Newcastle may have opened up a gap at the top once again but a draw meant City stretched their unbeaten run and this was by no means a poor performance – quite the opposite in fact and it would be remiss not to pay credit to Everton – and the very fact that such an air of frustration exists merely illustrations the level of expectation that surrounds the club.
City will know though that this was the start of a tough period both domestically and in Europe over the coming weeks. Frustration as an emotion is no bad thing in sport; providing it is channelled to positive effect.
