The Sun’s Antony Kastrinakis presents a scathing but thought out argument in the Sunday Supplement that Jose Mourinho is in essence a flawed manager. In some way it’s the old proactive vs reactive argument, but with the twist that Mourinho creates ill will wherever he goes.
However, he is only saying Mourinho isn’t the greatest manager in world football while acknowledging that he is a great one. I swing on this argument myself, but recognise that while reactionary football is effective, it is only proactive — or the word brave, as Kastrinakis himself uses — football that truly changes football.
Sky Sports video player was flaky for me. If it is for you too, the Youtube version is more stable.
