David Hytner for The Guardian:
This was an outlandish result for his team, chiselled from a performance so sub-standard that for large swathes of the second half, it was difficult to believe that here before our eyes were the 20-time champions of English football. Or, even, the fourth best team of this season’s Premier League.
Bad game for United. They owe a lot to David de Gea this season and this was one more game where United would have drawn, if not lost, were it not for their goalkeeper. Ashley Young was a constant threat on the left wing, Ander Herrera was willing in the middle but that was about it for good performances. They will not care, especially if Chelsea win today to eliminate Liverpool as a fourth place threat.
